Today, I went to MOPS for the first time in 2017 (don’t ask why I haven’t been going).
Last week, I had the thought about going, just to show everyone that I was, in fact, OK. So many of the girls had reached out to me, that I thought it would be the easiest way. Then I got a message this morning specifically inviting me to come.
It was one of the best things I’ve done since this all started.
I cracked. I finally broke down. The entire group laid hands on me and prayed (after I’d already gotten a Grandma Sheila prayer in the nursery).
I am fortunate to have so many in my life right now.
I am fortunate to have so many ways to cope.
This blog is not just going to be a retelling of J’s Journey with Rhabdomyosarcoma, but also a way to share my coping methods…and to be one of those coping methods.
